If the result list is too large, please consider these hints
- Reduce the number of websites.
- Add more keywords.
- Use quotes for building terms from keywords. For example, the phrase banner image searches for all articles containing both words. However, "banner image" searches for the exact two-word phrase.

Chuck recently asked about adding a blogroll to MT. I pointed him to this tutorial rather than pointing him to Blogrolling.com.
Ever since Blogrolling changed ownership, I've felt that the service has been going downhill. A few months ago, when I removed the blogrolling php code off my site load times drastically decreased. One of my main peeves with blogrolling was that it was located on a remote server. During the transition period that server was often down, and caused load times on my site to shoot up - so high that my site was nearly unaccessible. Another problem with the Blogrolling involves the site Blogshares.com. Some script that were heavily relied on were deleted and caused...

You now know why there hasn't been any updates in nearly 20 days! I'm very proud to announce MT Blogroll 1.0. Basically MT Blogroll is a blogroll manager, similar to blogrolling.com. You are able to store various details about a link including its URI, Name, Description and Relationship and assign them to various categories. If you have been using another blogroll manager like blogrolling.com or blo.gs, you can use the Import OPML tool to import those links into MT Blogroll.
I would suggest reading the README first which describes the installation process and includes some example code. Other documentation includes the Tag Reference which describes the template tags that MT Blogroll...

As the campaign has been successfully completed, here's MT Blogroll 2.0. Thanks to all those that donated to the campaign, the donors will get priority if bugs or problems are faced. If you feel like donating, the campaign is now over, but feel free to use the donate button on the sidebar.
There are some new features including the ability to quickly add a blogroll entry by just entering the URI and having MT-Blogroll gather all the other information. I've also added the ability to define the the names of the author's of the blogs and the target of the blog.
I think all the bugs from the previous version should've been fixed, if you experience a bug, drop me a note.
If you are already using MT...

UPDATE: If you have any feature request I'm all ears. Gearing up for the release I want to see if there are any feature requests I can implement, I think I've fixed all the bugs that were reported so expect a release in the next few weeks.
I had released this to ProNet a few days ago but have not gotten much feedback. That can be either that people are waiting for the point release and don't want to install a beta or that there aren't many bugs in this beta. Either way I want to open up testing for MT Blogroll 2.0 (I'm still thinking about that version number). I'm going to copy my post to ProNet here to save me some time.
I've re-written Blogroll to use its own tables in the DB so...

In the past few weeks I've managed to make MT Blogroll work on a Windows/IIS environment. I have only tested this plugin on one server so I'm not entirely sure how well this works. So Download MT-Blogroll_2.02.zip and follow the installation instructions. The only difference for you Windows users is that the contents of the lib/ folder in the distribution must go into the extlib/ directory hence you get extlib/Blogroll etc.
The only requirement is that you have MT 3.16 installed as important bugs were fixed.

MT Blogroll has been updated to be compatible with Movable Type 3.2 and includes some new features too: • Improved UI - The UI has been drastically improved to fit in better with 3.2, you can see the new UI elements on the screenshots page. Along with the UI there are a few javascript tricks I've borrowed from Movable Type that should make your life somewhat easier • Greater Control - With MT Blogroll 2.1, you have far more control over your links, you can customize the link adding page in a fashion that is similar to MT and display the links with ease on both static and dynamic pages. • Priority Sorting - I have added a priority field and this has become the default sorting column. As a...

UPDATE: I have also updated the template tag reference for Blogroll!
This is an update to fix the DateTime error faced by people from the 3.16 upgrade. I'm still using DateTime (which is included in the full distribution) because I haven't had time to explore MT::DateTime (6A's new replacement module). I have also briefly tested this plugin on Windows machine (albeit on Apache) and so far its been working, those of you on Windows try it out!
I have also fixed the two others bugs raised in the comments, the sorting problem due to upper/lower case links and the "Reset Filter" button. If you have any other bug reports please post them in the comments section or email them to me.
If you haven't upgraded to...

MT Blogroll provides users and authors within Movable Type to maintain a list of links in a blogroll. Through a simple to use user interface, and a few template tags you can publish these lists in a snap. For each item, MT Blogroll keeps track of a link's URI, Name, Description, Relationship and category and more! If you have used another Blogroll manager for example blogrolling.com or blo.gs, you can import those links into MT Blogroll using the Import OPML tool.

Once the campaign's target has been reached I will release the plugin to public. If you've found version 1.0 or version 2.0b useful consider donating to the campaign. The past few days, I've been working hard on a new version of MT Blogroll that will be feature packed. Some of the features I have either written or plan to write include: • Integration with del.icio.us - MT Blogroll is now capable of completely synching with del.icio.us. This means that links you add to MT Blogroll will get added to del.icio.us and vice-versa. • Tagging - to complement the above, I've implemented the ability to tag links just like del.icio.us. The template tags are also powerful enough for you to generate your own tag cloud. • Export to OPML - one of the biggest feature requests I've received was to have an export mechanism and I've finally gotten around to implementing that. • Direct import from Bloglines - Simply enter your Bloglines username and your folders and links are imported. I'm investigating similar integration with Blogrolling and Newsgator....

In the last post, I called for feature requests and unfortunately didn't get very many. None-the-less, I've been hard at work on the next version of MT Blogroll and due to time constraints can't test out all the new features across all databases and platforms like I used to. As a result, I'm calling for beta testers. If you wish to beta test the next version of MT Blogroll, simply leave a comment (ensure you fill in the email field so that I can contact you) with your specs, specifically I'll need: • Webserver and Operating System (e.g. Apache on Linux) • Movable Type version (I hope everyone's on 3.2!) • Database (e.g. MySQL, PostGreSQL etc. Users that don't use MySQL are highly required!) • MT Blogroll version you've currently got...

The second plugin in the pluginset known as Ajaxify, this plugin adds a search suggestion feature to the Quicksearch box at the top when you search for entries, comments or trackback. There's very little to talk about this plugin but I should note that it is a little buggy when handling search terms with spaces for example "MT Blogroll". I've been trying to find a fix but the javascript is unreadble! None-the-less, it works quite well as can be seen from this screenshot. It has, of course, been built for Movable Type 3.2. Go grab your copy.

Using includes, you can modularize your template code making it easier to edit and rebuild your Movable Type templates. For example, instead of having all of your side bar and center content on the same Index template, you can set up a separate file to hold your side bar content and use an include to "include" it on your index template. This is especially handy if you use the same sidebar content on multiple index and archive templates.
There are two basic ways to use includes in Movable Type - the MTInclude tag and PHP includes. MTInclude is easy and anyone using MT can use it. The downside (slight) is that if you make a change to an include file, your sidebar for example, you have...

This is a question I've seen a lot, through emails, bug reports and on the forums. First a little general background information.
The 'Plugin Envelope' method was something introduced with v3.0 and one of the first plugins to use it was MT-Blacklist. This is where a plugin creates its own subdirectory within the main plugins/ directory, for example MT Blacklist has plugins/Blacklist, MT Protect has plugins/Protect and so on.
The problem many people are facing are the hundreds of errors that these plugins spit out and look similar to this: Plugin error: /home/.../.../cgi-bin/plugins/Blogroll/Blogroll.pl Can't locate Blogroll/Blogroll.pm in @INC (@INC contains: plugins/Blogroll/lib...
