When I try to log into Your Account, I get an error message that says "Your User Record Could Not Be Found".

A Movable Type account will not exist for you until you download a 3.x license using your registered TypeKey name. You must first select a license from our Pricing page and then log in with the TypeKey username when prompted. Downloading the license is what creates the account in our system.

Check The Post Status For The Entry

Make sure that your entries are set to a status of Published and not Unpublished1. If you change the setting, you must remember to save the entry to update your site.

I created a new author name for myself and deleted Melody. Now I have no permissions.

One of the reasons the installation instructions tell you to change Melody's information to your own (rather than deleting her) is that her author name is granted full permissions upon creation. By changing her information to yours, you will have all of those same permissions by default.

I've forgotten my password, and never received the email when I tried to recover it; or I forgot or did not set my password hint, so I cannot recover my password.

Check Spam Filters First

In the past few weeks I've managed to make MT Blogroll work on a Windows/IIS environment. I have only tested this plugin on one server so I'm not entirely sure how well this works. So Download MT-Blogroll_2.02.zip and follow the installation instructions. The only difference for you Windows users is that the contents of the lib/ folder in the distribution must go into the extlib/ directory hence you get extlib/Blogroll etc.

The only requirement is that you have MT 3.16 installed as important bugs were fixed.

My permalinks are pointing to the wrong archive type. For example, I want them to point to the Individual Entry Archive, but instead they point to the Monthly Archive for the entry.

When you use the MTEntryPermalink tag, Movable Type will create links that point to the archive type you have set as your Preferred Archive Type in Settings > Publishing : Publishing Preferences1.
